SERVER IDENTITY
OmniWorld is a hardcore PvP open-world server that prioritizes core survival gameplay. Hunting, territory disputes, and combat are completely permitted and encouraged, provided you follow our Grouping & Combat protocols (found on our Rules page).
No. Nowhere is truly safe. However, certain areas of the map have naturally lower traffic. If you are growing a juvenile, avoid central hot zones like Center River or the Highlands.
CORE MECHANICS & SCENTING ('Q')
Pressing and holding 'Q' activates your Scent mechanic. • Highlighted eyes: Patrol zone. • Dino footprints: Migration zone. •Two palm trees: Sanctuary • Water Droplet: Fresh drinking water. • Ribcage/Meat: Corpse or gore piece (Carnivore food). • Leaf/Plant: Foraging nodes (Herbivore food). • Blood Drops: A bleeding, wounded player is nearby. • Footprints: Player tracks you can follow.
Stamina is your lifeline. If you drain it to zero, you cannot sprint or attack, making you an easy meal. Bleeding occurs when bitten by certain species (like Carno or Omni). If you are bleeding, you will lose health and leave a scent trail until you sit down ('H') to let it clot.
DIETS & 'PRIME' STATUS
Every dinosaur has specific nutrient requirements (represented by icons like a, b, or y symbols). Eating food that matches your specific diet fills your nutrient hexagons. Having a balanced diet drastically increases your growth speed, stamina regeneration, and night vision.
You must complete 5 out of the 7 requirements: 1. Filling all three of your dietary nutrient slots to at least 1% simutaniously to achieve perfect diet at least once. 2. You must visit at least 2 migration zones for at least 30 seconds each before 75% 3. You must visit at least 4 patrol zones for at least 30 seconds each before 75% growth, 4. You must visit 1 sanctuary before 50% growth for at least 30 seconds. 5. You must never go infertile (maintain at least 1 diet). 6. Be nested in, or 7. Nest and raise a hatchling to 50% to reach Prime status.
As you grow and maintain your diet, you unlock Mutation slots. You can select genetic augmentations (like Infrasound Communication or Social Behavior) while resting. Some of these mutations are required to unlock extra Apex slots in your group according to our Server Rules!
SURVIVAL TACTICS
Audio is King. Play with a good headset. Before walking into a clearing, crossing a river, or cresting a hill, stop in the bushes and just listen. You will hear footsteps, drinking, or ambient calls long before you see the predator.
Stay quiet. Do not spam your '1' call (broadcast) unless you are looking for a fight or a group. Move from bush to bush, keep your stamina above 50% at all times, and only drink from rivers in highly concealed areas.
